Luck Perk, Life Perk
Started By
Luck Perk: a green shamrock dog tag for the icon, gives you 50% more positive REs and adds 20 points to any of your dogs' trial scores.

Life Perk: a silver sun dog tag for the icon, makes your dogs' lifespans 25% longer, and makes it so that you can make any dog immortal for 12 bones.

Support or suggest changes for one, the other, or both? :D

EDIT:

If people want a more realistic 'job' type perk, here's my suggestion:

-add the 25% longer lifespan to dogs born in the kennel of a user with the vet perk

and a different perk entirely:

Good Citizen Perk: a tan handbag shaped tag, gives you 50% more positive REs and random (but still rare) 50% off on a Main Shops and/or Monthly shop item.

Perhaps only dogs that were born in a vet perk kennel would have the age bonus.

I was just about to say this but Quagga got to it before me..
"If anything, I vote the 25% increase in a dog's lifespan to go with the vet perk."
I support this :) But.. would it only affect dogs in the kennel that has the vet perk? Like if you send them to your side w/ no vet perk, would they have a normal lifespan?

No support for either.

The perks came out to be similar to "jobs" -- these two perks can't be jobs no matter how you twist it ^^;

If anything, I vote the 25% increase in a dog's lifespan to go with the vet perk. I can't support either fully, though, because of the same thing Nelly said.

The training, breeding, and vet perks are like you, say... bought lessons on how to improve your breeding, caring, and training of dogs. However, you can't buy luck... And you can already buy immortality; even though it's a bit expensive, it's IMMORTALITY. You dog won't die - it's worth whatever price it gets, and it shouldn't be made any cheaper or easier to get.

I feel the perks should be limited to realism, instead of being dragged out to... "Buy a perk to get a random item every _ days!" "Buy a perk to decrease the amount of food you have to feed a dog!" "Buy a perk to double the effect companions have on your dog!" "Buy a perk to do this!" "Buy a perk to do that!"

Right now, I feel that we have enough perks, and that the perks should simply be kept realistic.

Guess I can understand that Gamzee. But still I do not support..since it is just me.

Just a few things I'd like to point out, Nelly..:
So we have the trainer breeder and vet perk, but those are real life careers. Like, you can be a vet in real life. You can also be a professional breeder in real life
You can also be a really lucky person in real life. I think the Life Perk would work good with the vet perk.. because it would make sense that the pets of veterinarians would live long, healthy lives.

Alacrity is an agility sim and the site should be as realistic as possible.
Of course, and it is realistic, but there are certain things about it that aren't realistic.. for example, dogs breaking bones every other day, griffin companions, wolf companions, dogs with wings and tattoos and dying a dog tie-dye or rainbow.

The luck perk would seem to be a waste since there already are raccoons, and there could be custom companions that add to dog's trial score.
The raccoons increase RE's, the luck perk would increase the chance of getting a good RE [for example, Rob comes and gives me $100 or whatever that RE is..] instead of bad ones. [Dog breaks a bone or robbers snag some of my $$]. Though we do have a Kitsune which increases trial score.

Can't say I can support.

So we have the trainer breeder and vet perk, but those are real life careers. Like, you can be a vet in real life. You can also be a professional breeder in real life, and a professional trainer. Alacrity is an agility sim and the site should be as realistic as possible. The luck perk would seem to be a waste since there already are raccoons, and there could be custom companions that add to dog's trial score.
Now the life perk falls under real life...the making dogs immortal idea is not a good idea at all. We have MLLs, and the custom tool, AND rebirths. What do I mean by this ?
Say a user had 22 bones. It was either 15 for a MLL or 10 for the Life Perk and 12 to make the dog immortal, and being able to make their dogs immortal any time. I guarantee they'd go for the perk so they can make their dogs immortal anytime. If a user had 10 bones for the perk, they'd buy it, and then the sales in MLLs would go WAY down, making no longer a rare and not needed anymore.
Those are my reasons and this is 100% my opinion.

So to wrap it up, no support by me with reasons stated above.

I support both. :3

I don't quite understand the trial point part of the Luck Perk and how it has anything to do with luck. Though if it makes users happy then it doesn't really matter to me. Maybe 50% more positive RE's, 75% more RE's (good&bad).

I support both all the way

I support the Luck Perk <3
